Ali Suzain – started his football career with United Victory in the third division, season 1986. Later, Suzain, joined Victory Sports Club. But he decided to part ways with Victory in 1991, and he played for various club in the top tiers of Maldivian Football. Suzain showcasted his talent in the colors of Club Valencia, Lagoons and Orchid.
The stylish and familiar player in the first division, Suzain returned home, Victory, in 1998, and was a key figure in the success of the team. Suzain, hang up his boots in 2001, to pursue his career as a football coach in 2002. He was a part of the coaching team under the reign of coach Mauroof Ahmed (Maattey) in 2002, a year that Victory won the Presidents Cup for a third consecutive year. (Suzain won it twice as a player and one as a coaching staff at that period)
After Maattey’s reign, Victory struggled to cope with the key figures' departure from the club. Suzain decided to take up the head coach role.
During Suzain’s time as a head coach, he won the President's Cup twice and the FA Cup once with Victory SC. Suzain was a monumental figure of the club in the 21st century as the club opted to change the model of the club’ s administration.
Suzain left Victory's coaching role and worked for the Football Association of Maldives (FAM) and later he also managed Maziya S&R. In Maziya’s, Suzain won every possible trophy at the local level.
After a successful spell with Maziya, Suzain returned to Victory's coaching role in 2017, but due to Victory’s administrative issues, Suzain opted to leave the role within months after the appointment. Currently he is with the National Football Team as an assistant coach.
