Victory Sports Club and Mas Odi Sports Club will clash with each other in the final of the FAM MPL 2nd Division Football Tournament. 

The main target for both these teams was assured in the previous fixture, which was to secure a promotion to the top tier of Maldives Football. 

Victory SC defeated New Radiant Sports Club by 2-0 and Mas Odi SC thrashed Tent Sports Club by 5-1 in the semi-finals of the competition. 

Victory SC and Mas Odi SC, are both yet to taste a defeat in this competition. Six in six wins for both teams on their road to finals. 

Coach Sobah Mohamed (Soba), who is vital in Victory SC’s domination in this year’s competition will be eyeing his second second division title, in his coaching career. 

Soba previously won this competition back in 2016 with Club Green Streets. 

In the interview after the semi-final win over New Radiant, Soba stated that, securing a first-division promotion was a tougher task than winning the SAFF Championship in 2008. 

Mas Odi SC is led by tactician Mohamed Athif, who said his set target was reached when the team secured promotion to the top division. 

He said, it’s in the players’ hands to get the trophy, which he believes they can achieve.
