Former First Division trio, Ibrahim Sinah (Sina), Saddam Hussain & Ahmed Rilwan (Ben) have signed a contract with Victory Sports Club for the upcoming season.
Sinah, a dominant futsal captain, last year, played for New Radiant Sports Club in the second division. A skilful midfielder with leadership qualities, Sinah had a stint in the first tier of Maldives Football with Club Valencia, in the early days of his career.
Veteran midfielder Ben, also played for Club Valencia, and was once selected for the Maldives National Football Team by former coach Martin Koopman. Ben spent the majority of his first division career in TC Sports Club colours, and he is part of their key successes in Maldives Football.
Saddam played for numerous numbers of clubs in the top tier of Maldives football. He played for New Radiant Sports Club and Victory Sports Club. He was last seen in the first division with his native island’s team, Nilandhoo Sports Club, in the first division. Saddam can play in all defensive positions, meaning Victory have confirmed a signing that could cover many positions if necessary.
Previously, Victory had confirmed the signing of National Team Captain, Akram Abdul Ghani (Aku), experienced midfielder Mohamed Umair & dominant fullback Hussain Faisal (Faito). Victory will play this season under the reign of an energetic young coach, Sobah Mohamed (Soba), who is reluctant regarding Victory's surge towards promotion to the premier division of the Maldives football hierarchy.
Victory is also working on more additions to the team, to kick start the pre-season for the upcoming season.
