Experience star Yaambe joins Victory SC

Former New Radiant Sports Club and Maziya Sports & Recreation, Moosa Yaamin (Yaambe) joins Victory Sports Club for the upcoming season.

Yaambe ended his eight-year stint with the Maziya to accept Victory's proposal and help Victory’s surge towards promotion. Yaambe had few offers from top division clubs but he opted for Victory - one of the most successful clubs in the country.

With more than a decade of experience in the top tier of Maldives football, Yaambe is a versatile player who can play in defensive positions and also as an attacker. Yaambe’s addition to the squad gives Victory a good dimension to the team setup with vast squad depth in various departments of the team.

Former Thoddoo Football Club and Al Youth Link Age (AYL) star, Yaambe, played for Maldives U23 National Team and the senior team as well.

Victory will take part in the FA Cup as well in this calendar year. Victory will be led by one of their former leading players, who later turned into an energetic coach, Sobah Mohamed Ibrahim (Soba).

Till this date, Victory have signed up key stars of Maldives Football, with the likes of National Team Captain, Akram Abdul Ghani (Aku), and former Victorian’s Mohamed Umair and Hussain Niyaz Mohamed (Bokuree). Another key additions to the squad are, TC Sports Club Captain, Ahmed Rilwan (Ben), promising fullback - Hussain Faisal (Faito), former Victory and New Radiant defender - Saddam Hussain, along with skilful midfielder - Ibrahim Sinah.
